Precision intervention for patients and providers.

Founders Paul Dagum, Tom Insel, and Rick Klausner created Mindstrong to help proactively detect mental health deterioration early and drive intervention for patients in timely ways to reduce disability, hospitalization, and ER visits. By leveraging ongoing, passive monitoring, Mindstrong is able to capture digital biomarkers that serve as timely predictors of relapse in schizophrenia, bi-polar, ADHD, PTSD, clinical depression, and Substance Use Disorder, enabling intervention before conditions become chronic or severe.

Mindstrong tracks digital biomarkers in patient smartphone interactions to assess neurocognitive function and state.

Mindstrong has developed the first passive and continuous technology that uses a patient’s smartphone keyboard and swipe-tap interactions to calculate quantitative neurocognitive-function biomarkers and changes in neuropsychiatric state. The technology applies algorithms based on 280+ identified features from moment-to-moment phone interactions delivered via an “app” that runs in the background of a phone.

The Mindstrong Solution offers three modules: ‘Health,’ a patient-facing smartphone app, ‘Care,’ a provider-facing web app, and ‘Mindstrong Health Services,’ a care augmentation service through which licensed behavioral health professionals can proactively engage with patients and offer effective crisis care management.
