MEET Nicole, OUR PRINCIPAL.

Nicole is a Principal at Optum Ventures, focused on understanding strategic alignment and finding partnership opportunities for our portfolio companies.

Nicole started her career in health and group benefits consulting at Willis Towers Watson (WTW). There, Nicole learned the employer side of health care, advising employers on how to price benefit plans and manage their employee health and wellbeing. Nicole left WTW to pursue an MBA in health sector management, during which she explored the impacts of digital health on care delivery at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator.

Before joining Optum Ventures full time, Nicole spent her first rotation in the Optum Leadership Experience rotational program with Optum’s Transplant Resource Services team, where she led strategy and new product development.

Nicole graduated with a B.Sc. In Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University, and holds an MBA from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business.
